8 papers, 2016–2018
An AS unit from Pearson's Mathematics 2013 specification, held in our collection 2016–2018. Its content was restructured into Pure Mathematics 1 (WMA11) and Pure Mathematics 2 (WMA12) for the 2018 specification; Pearson's own transition guide records it as still examined as late as June 2020. Every Mathematics WMA01 A-Level question paper and mark scheme in the collection is listed below, from Edexcel. No sign-up is required.
Work through WMA01 papers in timed conditions, then mark your own work against the official mark scheme before looking at any worked solution. Because every sitting of WMA01 assesses the same specification content, the same question forms recur across years with different numbers and context - so a method you get right once will earn marks again.
Keep a record of which questions cost you marks and why: a gap in knowledge, an arithmetic slip, or running out of time. Each needs a different fix, and the pattern across several WMA01 papers tells you which one is actually holding your grade down.
